Nursery

Many of you have asked for pictures of the nursery. It was quite the project.... I had to strip wallpaper and then patch a ton of cracks in the plaster walls (our house was built around 1900!) which was the hardest, most time consuming part. Then I primed and painted the walls and trim. Joe put up crown molding and hung a new door and my mom helped us pick out carpet that we had the edges bound so it's like a big area rug over our beautiful hardwood floors upstairs. It turned out sooo cute, I just love it!

I'm in love with this chair... it's like sitting on a cloud! Which is so nice at 3am :)

Keeps us on our toes

I guess we never know what to expect from day to day.... I'm guessing that Ashlyn is going through a growth spurt this week. Tuesday night she was up every two hours to eat. She napped good for me all morning and early afternoon Wednesday, still wanting to eat every hour or two. Well later that afternoon I had her laying on the rug in the bathroom while I was trying to get some things done around the house. I heard her pass some gas, nothing new right? Thinking that I would give her a few minutes to let her finish before I changed her, I picked her up and put her on our bed while I finished putting away laundry. When I went to pick her up to change her I noticed something on our comforter.... yikes! She had a MAJOR blowout... like poop was all the way up her back into her hair and on our comforter and a little on the bathroom rug. Poor thing... I felt bad even though she didn't seem to mind! Needless to say, we had to take a bath to get cleaned up :) Later that night after I got done feeding her I sat her up to burp and milk shot out like a foot and a half! Talk about projective vomit!! I just sat there shocked and Joe was asking me what the heck is wrong with her.... and nothing was wrong, I think she was really full and sitting in just the right position, it was just so weird because she almost never has any spit up. I just had to laugh and think that these are some of the joys of parenting! To finish off the night, our little angel went to bed like normal at midnight and didn't get up till 7:15am! I guess you never know what to expect... no two days are ever the same!!

To celebrate Grandma Ruth's birthday the ladies (and Connor) went shopping and the guys went golfing. Shopping really wore Ashlyn out so she napped on daddy.

A few cute pictures of her sleeping... she likes to be warm and snuggled up. I could watch her sleep all day... and sometime I do! I just keep thinking that she won't be this small for very long and I'm going to take advantage of every minute I get. Time goes by way too fast!!

Kral Family Babies

My cousin Jenny had her baby shower last night and we took a picture of all the babies/pregnant ladies. We were missing Melissa Grant and Kendal who was born April 8... hopefully we'll get a picture with her at Mindy's bridal shower on Saturday :)

Bottle Time

Joe gives Ashlyn a bottle for the first time... nice work dad! Now we need to work on the diapers :)

Mom & Dad's first night out

First night out for Mommy & Daddy on July 26th. Grandma Deb came over to babysit Ashlyn. We went to Dino's for pizza and then we went to Tim & Angie's for a few drinks. It was nice to get out but we were looking forward to getting home to our little girl :) She slept for grandma most of the evening and slept good that night thankfully! It was also the first night she slept in her crib upstairs!

First Stroller Ride

First time in the stroller... it was a little rough on the gravel road. We'll have to go into town and try the sidewalks when it's not so hot out :)

Bath Time

She really enjoyed it -no crying! We had the heat fan on so the bathroom was nice and toasty and we dried off under the warm air.
