Golden Heart 5K Fun Run/Walk

Fun in the mud

When the rain FINALLY stopped last week Ashlyn wanted to play outside. Of course our driveway was one big mud puddle so it wasn't a surprise that she wanted to play in it. She jumped in it, picked it up, threw it, and got it all over herself. Thank goodness for washing machines!!

The Loula family is growing!

Ashlyn's going to be a Big Sister!

Baby Loula is due to arrive November 28th and we are very excited!

Everyone asks how I'm feeling and I've been feeling better every week. The last month and a half was a struggle with nausea and exhaustion to say the least, but I kind of expected that. I still have a moment now and then but it's getting much better! Looking forward to feeling "normal" in the 2nd trimester :)

Baby L was very active and jumping around a lot, heart rate was 169bpm at our 11 week appointment.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was wonderful! It started out with Ashlyn sleeping in until 9:00am which meant we got to sleep in too! Then we spend the morning relaxing around the house and then we went out to the lake after Ashlyn woke up from her nap. The kids got to try out their fishing rods that they got for Christmas and we caught two fish! A Sunny and a Bass. The kids thought it was neat but I think the adults were more excited about actually catching a fish :)

Cousin Morgan is finally here!

We had to wait patiently for our newest cousin to arrive, but she finally made her appearance on Friday May 7th!

 Morgan Lee Beranek, 9lbs 6oz 21 1/4inches long.

She joins big brother Jared and big sister Chloe. Congrats Lyndsey & Keith, she's a keeper!

Cake

Ashlyn definalty has a sweet tooth! We went to her cousin Gabbie's 4th birthday party in Nicollet on Friday night and she couldn't get enough of the cupcake birthday cake with thick frosting. Yum!

Watering Trees

It seems like every spring the tree fairy drops off more trees for us to plant. This year Ashlyn was happy to help dad plant the trees since every hole he dug had a few worms that she just had to touch. Her favorite part is watering the trees because she gets to ride on the Ranger and drink water from the hose. She's a farm girl for sure!

Snuggle Time

Ashlyn rarely wants to lay down on the couch with us for more than a few seconds, but the other night she snuggled with me long enough for daddy to get the camera and take a picture!

Farming

Ashlyn loves to visit dad in the field. Some days it's the only time they get to spend together since dad is up so early and gets home late. She sure misses her daddy when he's working so much! Thank goodness there have been a few rain days here and there so they can hang out at home.
