Vacation!

Joe and I were lucky enough to go on vacation with our friends Jeff and Chandra for a week down in the Bahamas Febuary 16th - 24th. We stayed at RIU on Paradise Island and it was wonderful! Everything went great. Our flights were on time, weather was awesome and food and drinks were plentiful! The girls got to split the week at each grandmas house so they got their own little vacation too!  I would have posted this sooner but Ashlyn was pretty sick the week we got home, then Kaelyn was a little under the weather. Poor things, it was our first illness of the winter so I guess I can't complain too much :)

We saw this excavator being pulled every morning,

 they were moving sand for a new cruise ship docking area.

We did an island excursion, rode 40 miles out to some islands and had lunch, drinks, fed sharks, went snorkeling, hung out on a sand bar and fed iguanas. It was truly paradise!

I'm the only one of the four of us to snorkel. It was beautiful!

Our last night out we went back to the Poop Deck, delicious!

Officially Potty Trained!

I've been meaning to blog about this for a couple weeks now... Ashlyn's potty trained!!! I didn't want to write about it and then jinx ourselves but I know we don't have anything to worry about anymore! She started about a month ago, we went cold turkey and just started to wear regular underwear during the day and pullups/diapers at nap and bedtime. She only had 3 or 4 accidents in the first few days and has been accident free since! She wears a pull up to bed but she will wake up at night and yell for us that she has to go potty. We are so proud of her! Woo hoo Ashlyn!

3 months old!

Our sweet little girl is three months old already! She is growing like crazy and has become quite the chatter box. We get lots and lots of smiles from her too! She is a sleeping champ, 10:30pm and sleeps till 7am, eats and goes back to sleep until 9am. She loves it when her sister plays with her and likes trying to swat at toys hanging from her car seat or play mat. She is such a happy baby, we just love her to pieces!

Baking a Cake

Ashlyn has a thing for birthday cake. She really likes it so a few weeks ago we made one. She helped me crack the eggs, measure ingredients and stir the batter. She's a great helper!

Kaelyn's 2 month check up

This is a little past due...

Kaelyn went in for her 2 month appointment on January 11th. She had a little rash going on so we went about 10 days early but since Dr Knudson is hard to get into we decided to do her two month check then along with all of the lovely shots. She got one oral and three sticks to her little thighs. She cried of course but was fine. Big sister Ashlyn was right there to stroke her head and say "it's okay Kaelyn, don't cry" followed by a kiss.   She is very sweet like that to Kaelyn - most of the time!

Kaelyn has been just a sweetheart, very smiley and "talks" to us all the time. She especially likes getting her diaper changed and will give you a big smile then. She has been sleeping from 11pm till 6am, eats and sleeps till about 9 or 10am. It's great! We just need her to go to bed a little earlier :)

Her stats were: 11lbs 13oz,  22" long, 15 1/2" head circumference
