We made the trip home with no problems.  The girls were so excited to have their little sister home and gave her lots of attention.  We were even able to take our first official family picture. Loula, party of five!

My sister-in-law Christy was also visiting when Ashlyn and Kaelyn came to meet their new little sister.  What an amazing gift Christy has given me to have these  pictures... I am so grateful to have candid photos of these special moments.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Baby Claire's arrival!

This post is long overdue!! As most of you know we had a very busy summer and I'm just starting to feel like life is getting back to normal... not slowing down necessarily but we're getting into a new routine :)  Thankfully I've been good about taking pictures. I just haven't had time to blog about everything. Hopefully I will get caught up soon and stay that way!

We got to the hospital around 12:30am Tuesday morning and Claire was born a  little over two hours later. Besides being the most painful labor of my three, everything went smoothly. Thank God for the drugs! I had an ISN (spinal block) and it was the most amazing thing, almost instant pain relief! Once that kicked in, we just had to wait for Dr. Denke to arrive for delivery. I pushed through two contractions and she was born... IT'S A GIRL!!! What a surprise! The nurses asked us what we thought she weighed and I guessed in the 8lb range... she looked so little to me but they just giggled and said they thought she was over 9lbs.... and they were right!

Catching up!?

Can you tell I'm trying to catch up on the blog??  I have good intentions of getting all these posts done but I keep finding myself snuggling with Claire any chance I get... can you blame me?  She is our last baby so I'm trying to take it all in and enjoy each moment.... I know it will go by way too fast!

Cookies & Coloring
