Ice Fishing - Take 2
We went ice fishing last weekend on lake Washington again. The lake was full of houses as usual. We went back to the same spot we went to a few weeks ago since we had such good luck there. Although we didn't catch as many fish as last time, we still caught enough for the girls to have fun.
Our set up... we wait in the Tahoe while Joe gets everything ready

Ashlyn broke her arm
Ashlyn fell off of her toy bouncy horse Tuesday morning at 7:30am while she was trying to get off... she fell with her arm stretched out to the side and behind her. Kaelyn was sitting on my lap and we watched it happen. I knew she was in a lot of pain and cried an unusual cry for over an hour. I called the doctor and they thought it sounded like she probably dislocated her elbow so we made an appointment to come in and have them relocate it at 10am. Unfortunately, when he tried to do the magic move of bending and turning her arm to pop the bone back into place, it just about sent poor Ashlyn off the table. She SCREAMED and really cried... I felt so bad. Then they sent her for x-rays and what do you know... she had a fracture :( So off to the Orthopedic and Fracture Clinic to see Dr. Kyle Swanson. He said that it is technically called a "Supracondylar Humerus Fracture". She needed to be put in a temporary cast till Friday when she could get a permanent cast. She was excited to be able to pick out a pink one :) So they got her all wrapped up and sent us home with a sling. She really did amazing the whole day, from x-rays to being examined, answering questions and getting her cast. I'm really proud of how brave she is. She will need to wear her pink cast for 4.5 weeks. Hopefully the time will fly by!
Just after getting her temporary cast
Hard to see in this picture, the fracture is between the yellow arrows
(the bright white "s" line is not the break)

Apparently they were short staffed,
I had to help hold her arm while they wrapped it
Since grandma Ruth came with to help with Kaelyn and take some pictures, we decide to meet grandpa Tim and go out to eat at Boulder Tap after her appointment... yum!

ta-da! Pink!
Double check to make sure everything still looked good, check!
