Santa

I took the girls to meet Santa while Joe was out west snowmobiling.
Ashlyn sat right on his lap and told him everything she wanted - pink ice skates, pink binoculars, pink scooter.... Kaelyn on the other hand would not get close to him.
I had to sit with her but she still wouldn't talk!

Our Silly Elf Jingle

Jingle has been a busy little elf.
I'm glad that he's not one of those naughty elves... he just silly!
The girls just LOVE looking for him each morning. It's so much fun!

Getting into all the flower clips and hair bows in the bathroom

The girls were painting the day before so I guess
Jingle wanted to do a little painting of himself.

Baked cookies and decorated them with the girls initials... silly Jingle!

Sledding

First Snow!

The girls wanted to go outside as soon as they woke up and saw all the snow this morning! So we dug out all of our snow gear and headed outside.  It was perfect snow for making snowmen... or as we call them - snowgirls :)

This is what you do when you don't have any hills for sledding in your yard....
get out the Ranger and get pulled around by daddy!

Then Kaelyn wanted to join in on the fun

Of course we had to make snowgirls.
The snow was so sticky that it was picking up all the leaves, grass and dirt.
We made two; snowgirl Kaelyn & snowgirl Ashlyn (who is pictured behind daddy)
Sorry, no picture of Kaelyn's snowgirl, my camera was getting too wet from all the snow.

Decorating the tree

We got out our tree and started decorating the house for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving.  We had Christmas music on and Ashlyn put on her pretty red holiday dress for the special occasion.

The girls were most excited about the singing stuffed animals... thankfully it only took a week for the initial excitement of having them sing over and over and over (get the idea?) to wear off... now it's only a couple times a day.

We left the ornaments just where the girls put them. They had me put a few up high but the majority are in the middle and bottom. Love it!

Happy St. Nick's Day!

St. Nick dropped off new pajamas for the girls to wear for the holidays.  They couldn't wait to get out of the bath and put on their adorable new pj's!

Show me your favorite ornament....

Happy Holidays!

Jingle is BACK!

Our silly little elf is BACK!  The girls were hoping that by turning on the big star on our grain leg that Jingle would be able to find our house again this year. HE DID!

Ashlyn thinks that he was playing with their toys last night and got into some of our Christmas lights.... silly Jingle!

Happy Thanksgiving

Since we're not officially celebrating Thanksgiving until Friday night, I thought that these Nutter Butter Turkeys I saw on Pinterest would be a fun little project to do with the girls.  It turned out to be a little more work than I thought.... and took way more patience than the girls had, so they just helped eat the extra candy and cookies (no complaints from them!) while I assembled the rafter (correct name for a group of turkeys - thanks Google!).

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy 2nd Birthday Kaelyn!

Our sweet little Kaelyn is two today!  We celebrated her birthday this past Sunday with a Minnie Mouse birthday party.  She LOVED it!  It was a beautiful day, the kids even played outside on the swing set... that probably won't happen very often in November!

Thank you to all of her grandparents, aunties, uncles and cousins
for helping celebrate her special day :)

Thank you Pinterest for the great Minnie Oreo cookie idea.
They were not as hard to make as I thought they would be.

Present time... she took her time and slowly opened each gift.

Happy birthday dear Kaelyn, happy birthday to you!

Make a wish!
