Kaelyn's 7 months old!

Kaelyn continues to grow like a weed! The last few weeks our family has been suffering from the same sinus bug. Ashlyn seems to be over it but Kaelyn's turned into a cough that was waking her up at night so she went on antibiotics for three days and is now all better!

This is what she is up to:
~Sitting pretty much unassisted, tends to lean forward
~Loving solid foods more and more
~Rolling everywhere! And fast!
~Says da da and mmm (not quite mama
~Blows bubbles
~Makes loud sighing noises
~Sleeping through the night 8pm - 6am (eat) then back down till 8 or 9 sometimes
~No longer eats at night if she does wake up
~Napping usually only once a day around 1pm for 2 hours
~Loves watching Ashlyn and laughs at her all the time
~Has two teeth on the bottom, looks like her top ones will be here any day!

Ashlyn and Connor got to stay at Grandma & Grandpa Loula's this past Saturday. It was a beautiful day out and they had lots of fun playing outside.

I guess they made it till about 4am then had to join grandma in her bed :) Not too bad!

Last day of Gymnastics

Ashlyn's last day of gymnastics was on June 1st. She had a lot of fun going to class once a week since this past fall but we're taking a break for the summer. She's made a lot of progress since she started and she's also made a few friends too!

She loves to splash water and chew on what ever she can get her hands on. Ashlyn's always right there to help wash her or to join her in the tub too. I think Kaelyn will love water just like her sister!

Kaelyn's 6 months old!

Can you believe that our little Kaelyn Ann is 6 months old already?! Half of a year, where has that time gone? I finally believe what everyone tells you, time goes faster the second time around. I feel like I don't take enough pictures sometime and document all the little things like I did with Ashlyn. But my 'spare' time is next to nothing. Ashlyn doesn't nap during the day anymore so I don't get any so called breaks during the day are gone.  Now I can't give my mom such a hard time about not having my baby book as filled in as my older sister :)

Kaelyn had her 6 month check up with Dr Knudson today and she is doing GREAT! He said she looked happy and healthy. She is following in her sister footsteps with her height and weight too.

Her stats:

28 inches (99%)

19 lbs 13oz ( 99%)

~ Happy, happy, happy girl! She only really cries when she hungry or gets stuck (see below)

~ Rolls everywhere! Amazing how much ground she can cover in just a few minutes

~ Grabs everything and shoves it in her mouth

~ Starting to sit alone for a short time

~ LOVES her big sister. Ashlyn can get her to smile and laugh every time!

~ She has two teeth and will chew on anything

~ Sleeping pretty good. 8pm to 7:30am. Up once on good nights ;)

~ Still likes to sleep on her tummy but rolls over to her back when she wakes up and plays for a little in her crib

~ Wears size 12 month clothes

~ Talks a lot, blows bubbles, squeals and giggles

~ Has a couple crazy cowlicks which is resulting in an impressive mohawk - so cute!

~ Starting to eat solids more regularly. So far we've just tried rice cereal, squash, and banana. We'll get out the puffs and toast soon.

My little helper making oatmeal cookies with her cool new piggy utensils from Aunt Mary in Iowa. I left her alone to help Kaelyn for one minute - in the same room - and she said she had "just a little taste" of the sugar... I actually remeasured the sugar just to make sure there was enough left! What a little stinker :)

I just had to post this picture. It totally cracks me up! Ashlyn likes to hold Kaelyn and usually wants me to take a picture of them. This one is just too funny looking. Ashlyn has a crazy smile and Kaelyn has a 'get me out of here' look. Oh, they make me laugh every day!

5 months old!

Kaelyn is 5 months old! When I took her in to get her ears checked a week ago she weighed 18.6lbs!! WOW, she's growing like crazy. We only have a few more pounds to go before she outgrows her infant car seat. I'm ready for that since it's getting harder and harder to lug that heavy thing around :)

What she's up to:

~ Chatter box, talks all the time. Especially when she sees her reflection in the mirror.

~ Blows bubbles and raspberries

 ~ Kicks and pumps her arms when she's excited.

~ Started ROLLING back to tummy today!!

 ~ Sleeps from about 9pm (up at 2 and 6am to eat) up at 7:30am.

 ~ Loves bath time

~ Smiles at anyone

 ~ Loves watching her big sister do anything

~ Is startled easily (gets that from her mom!)

~ Is a total snuggle bug, love it!

Kaelyn rolled for the first time back to tummy this morning! How exciting!

Stroller Rides

It was finally nice enough to take the girls for stroller rides the first week in April.
Oh how we miss that warm weather!
