LOL

I just had to post this picture. It totally cracks me up! Ashlyn likes to hold Kaelyn and usually wants me to take a picture of them. This one is just too funny looking. Ashlyn has a crazy smile and Kaelyn has a 'get me out of here' look. Oh, they make me laugh every day!

5 months old!

Kaelyn is 5 months old! When I took her in to get her ears checked a week ago she weighed 18.6lbs!! WOW, she's growing like crazy. We only have a few more pounds to go before she outgrows her infant car seat. I'm ready for that since it's getting harder and harder to lug that heavy thing around :)

What she's up to:

~ Chatter box, talks all the time. Especially when she sees her reflection in the mirror.

~ Blows bubbles and raspberries

 ~ Kicks and pumps her arms when she's excited.

~ Started ROLLING back to tummy today!!

 ~ Sleeps from about 9pm (up at 2 and 6am to eat) up at 7:30am.

 ~ Loves bath time

~ Smiles at anyone

 ~ Loves watching her big sister do anything

~ Is startled easily (gets that from her mom!)

~ Is a total snuggle bug, love it!

 

Rolling!

Kaelyn rolled for the first time back to tummy this morning! How exciting!

Stroller Rides

It was finally nice enough to take the girls for stroller rides the first week in April.
Oh how we miss that warm weather!

Rice Cereal

Kaelyn got her first taste of rice cereal a couple weeks ago. She didn't seem to mind it! She still only really wants a few bites but we're in no hurry to start solids. I had to take her in to the Dr to have her ears checked since she hasn't been sleeping very good the last few weeks and this weekend was terrible. I think she was up every 1-2 hours and didn't really take any naps during the day. She wasn't all that fussy, she just wouldn't sleep! Sure enough, she has an ear infection in her right ear. Lets hope the antibiotics do the trick and we can all get some sleep again!

 

Minnesota Zoo

Joe wanted to take Ashlyn to the zoo since she had been missing him big time while he was on his last snowmobile trip of the year out west.  So we took her to the Minnesota Zoo on Saturday, March 26th.  She absolutely LOVED it!!! She literally bounced from one exhibit to the next. We only really did the indoor stuff since it was still pretty cold out and we will definitely be going back again this summer!

It was finally nice enough to go to the park. Ashlyn had fun and Kaelyn enjoyed watching.

Sometimes when I do laundry it's just so much easier to put the baby in the basket and carry the whole load upstairs to be put away. As you can see it's not my first rodeo! :)

Nibbles

Kaelyn sure likes to nibble on things lately.

4 months old!

Our little sweetheart is four months old! Kaelyn starting giggling about a week ago and really likes to nibble on her fingers, toys or pretty much anything she can get a hold of!  She's still sleeping great, bedtime is about 9pm - wakes up around 5am to eat quick - then back to sleep till 9am. It's great! She's growing like crazy, she just started wearing 9 month clothes last week and had her 4 month check up on Tuesday morning with Dr Knudson. He said she looked great! She got two shots and one oral vaccine. She cried a little but got over it pretty quickly. She slept most of the afternoon yesterday and seemed a little sore/cranky last night & this morning but a little acetaminophen helped her feel a little better.

Her stats:

25 1/2 inches tall - 90%

16lbs 9oz - 96%

Tummy Time

St Patrick's Day parade

We went to the St Patrick's Day parade with Ashlyn's little friend Vivian and her mom and sister. The girls had fun collecting candy and dancing to the music.

Kaelyn even enjoyed watching the parade.

Farm Show

I took the girls to the farm show in New Ulm last Sunday after I picked them up from an overnight stay at Grandma Deb's house. Ashlyn liked the equipment the animals :)
