Swimming Lessons

7.15.13

The girls had swimming lessons for two weeks each.  Ashlyn was in the Sharks class and Kaelyn was in Aqua Tots.  Since I have to be in the pool with Kaelyn I didn't get any pictures of her in the water but she did great!  She is definitely a little fish like her big sister! She even jumped off the diving board a few times.

Ashlyn is such a water lover! Between all the swimming we did on vacation and swimming lessons I swear she should have fins! She can swim underwater without goggles and she can do front and back somersaults underwater.  She even thought about jumping off the high dive board one day.  She got all the way to the top and walked out a few feet and realized how high she was!  She decided she would wait till next year to try that ;)

We went fishing on this beautiful Sunday morning. The girls caught a lot of fish! Largemouth bass, sunnies and even a big shiner!

Kenny Chesney concert

Joe and I went to the Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band, Eli Young Band and Kacey Musgraves concert at Target Field with our neighbors/friends the Jaegers.
We had beautiful weather and it was a lot of fun!

BB Gun

Joe took Ashlyn out to practice shooting her BB gun.  She did great!
She got a few balloons all on her own!

 

I sent her out with clothes pins to pin up the balloons.... she thought they would look nice in her hair ;)

4th of July

We celebrated the 4th of July by going out to Grandma & Grandpa Loula's on Lake Washington July 3rd to watch the fireworks from pontoon on the lake.  The girls loved it!  Then on the 4th we went to the parade in St Peter and they got a lot of candy!  We ended the day with a fire in the backyard, s'mores and a few of our own fireworks. The big guys... bottle rockets, jumping jacks, snakes and of course snaps  - a childhood classic!  :)
